McCoy Tyner, born December 11, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was an American jazz pianist. He is known for his work with the John Coltrane Quartet and was one the most recognizable pianists in jazz history.

McCoy Tyner passed away on March 6, 2020 at his home in northern New Jersey at the age of 81.
