Lyle Mays, born October 17, 1953 in Wausaukee, Wisconsin, was an American jazz pianist and composer. Mays is best known as a member of the Pat Metheny Group.

Lyle Mays passed away on February 10, 2020 in Los Angeles, California, U.S. at the age of 66 “after a long battle with a recurring illness”.
